The proximity sensor is blocked (a thick tempered glass or dust) or faulty. We clean or replace it and check the sensor window in the screen.
Fingerprint stopped working after my display was replaced. Can it be fixed?
Usually yes. Either the sensor needs calibration for the new panel, the original sensor was not transferred, or a copy panel is incompatible with in-display fingerprint. We tell you which and the options.
Is Face ID repairable after it says "Face ID not available"?
Often yes if the original dot projector/flood illuminator flex can be repaired — a new module will not pair. We assess the exact fault before quoting.
