When a phone is completely dead, restarts on the brand logo, heats up in your pocket, or the display stays black, brand service centres usually say "motherboard replacement" — often costing more than half the price of a new phone. Chip-level repair means we find and replace the single failed component (a power IC, a shorted capacitor, a charging IC, a broken trace) instead of the whole board.

Board repair vs board replacement
A repaired original board keeps your data, your IMEI and your phone's pairing with its own parts (important on iPhones where cameras, Face ID and Touch ID are paired to the logic board). A replacement board is a different phone inside your shell — and on modern iPhones it breaks Face ID unless the parts are moved and re-programmed. That is why we repair first and replace only when the board is truly beyond repair.

What if the board cannot be fixed?
